✂️Slice & Dice

To use Slice and Dice, simply navigate to the reports through Economize dashboard.

After selecting the desired filter, the page will update to show the costs for the selected services, projects, and labels.

Slice and dice is a feature of Economize that allows users to filter and view costs for specific services, tags or labels, and projects/accounts. This feature is particularly useful for businesses that use multiple cloud services and want to get a granular view of their cloud expenses.

Top Services

The Top Services bar organizes the data according to cloud service usage and cost. Users have the option of choosing between three temporal filters- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly. Once the data is displayed, they may also choose to view it with or without credits in that time period, by utilizing the slider Credits button. To rearrange the list in ascending or descending orders, they may click the arrow icons near the column's titular month/day/week.

There are a variety of different representation options to view cost datasets between their selected parameters. To change the type of depiction, users may click the blue Visualization button at the far-right. This gives them options to choose between Table, Pie Chart, and Bar Chart renditions.

Top Projects

The Top Projects allows you to quickly identify which projects are driving your cloud costs and take action to optimize your usage.

The Top Projects can be organized in ascending or descending order by clicking the arrow icons near the column's titular month/day/week. The data displayed on this page can also be viewed in Bar chart and Pie chart format.

Top Labels

The Top Labels tab displays resources organized by pre-set labels. A search bar is included on the top left, allowing users to filter by title and keywords.

The Top labels can be organized in ascending or descending order by clicking the arrow icons near the column's titular month/day/week. The data displayed on this page can also be viewed in Bar chart and Pie chart format.

Saved Label Views

The Saved Labels Views tab lists and filters your costs by Project name, Type of cloud service, Region, and the previously organized labels within its specified time period. Users have the option to create a category, by utilizing the category creation bar above. A name must be assigned for the category that they wish to create, followed by the appropriate labels that belong to it. Once selected, users may press add category to execute the demanded results. Multiple categories can be added. To delete a category, they may simply utilize the trash bin icon under the Action title.
