# Overview

Once you connect a cloud provider, Economize automatically ingests your billing data. The Overview page is the default landing view and surfaces the cloud cost metrics most relevant to your team.

The dashboard is organized into the following sections.

## Summary Cards

Three cards at the top of the dashboard summarize your key financial metrics for the connected cloud providers:

* **Last month's cost (before credits):** Total spend before any credits are applied.
* **Last month's cost (after credits):** Net spend after credits.
* **Forecasted cost:** Projected spend for the current month, based on usage to date. Use this to track against budget.

## Cost Overview Graph

This represents your expenditures over the last 6 months for the selected cloud provider. To view detailed information, just simply hover the cursor over the graph line, and you will be presented with the respective data along with the credits breakdown list for that particular month.

## Recommendations Table

The recommendations table lists projects with associated monthly savings opportunities. Each project shows the potential savings you can realize by applying the suggested recommendations.

## Aerial View

Aerial View allows you to see the monthly cost of specific projects and services used in an interactive sunburst chart.

Aerial view comprises 2 main components as follows that can be utilized to understand cloud costs better.

#### Sunburst chart

The sunburst chart helps to visualize the cloud cost hierarchically. It shows hierarchy through a series of concentric rings, where each ring corresponds to a cloud resource. Furthermore, each ring is segmented proportionally to represent its constituent details.

To change the month for which the data is depicted, use the drop-down button at the top right corner. After selecting the desired month, the chart will gauge and represent all the aggregate costs of the projects and associated resources accordingly.

#### Spend table

The expenditure table is located on the right, with the first row displaying the aggregate cost of all connected resources, followed by the expenses of those resources individually. To dig down further for a certain resource, simply click on it and the metrics will populate accordingly.
